Calculator measurements

The current Topsoil Calculator performs calculations in your browser. The dimensions, area names, depth, extra percentage, supplier density, packaging, and price values you enter are not submitted to a Project Toolbench application server or saved to a Project Toolbench account.

Copy and print actions use browser features on your device. Project Toolbench does not currently provide user accounts or cloud-saved estimates.

Technical server logs

Like most websites, the web server may create standard technical logs when pages or files are requested. These logs can include information such as the requested URL, time of request, IP address, browser or user-agent information, referring page, response status, and diagnostic details.

Technical logs may be used to operate the website, investigate errors, monitor availability, and protect the service. They are separate from the measurements entered into the browser calculator.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Project Toolbench does not currently use an analytics platform, advertising network, affiliate tracking system, login cookie, or marketing cookie. The current calculator does not require a cookie to perform calculations.

If analytics, advertising, affiliate tracking, accounts, or other data-processing features are introduced, this policy will be updated before or when those features are activated, and any required notice or consent mechanism will be added.

Third-party links

Some pages link to external sources, such as NIST, USDA NRCS, W3C, and Google documentation. Those websites operate under their own privacy practices. Following an external link sends a normal web request to that external website.

Policy changes

This page may be updated when the website’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised when a material update is published.
